About Andrew
Andrew began his building career in 1985 as an enthusiastic young apprentice carpenter and joiner. By 1989, he was fully qualified and embarked on what would be a lifelong career in the building industry. Over the last three decades, Andrew has gained extensive experience through all areas of the building trade in both the residential and commercial industries, including renovations, extensions, and new construction.
In 2007, Andrew became a Registered Building Practitioner (DB-U) and started a successful building company, primarily engaged in extensions and renovations of existing homes. Andrew’s clients were so impressed by his work that they became advocates, and all of his business was obtained via word of mouth.
Andrew is well versed in property inspections, damage and insurance claims. From 2014 to 2015, Andrew acted as a contractor on behalf of the Department of Human Services, carrying out property inspections for over 2,500 public housing properties. He has also worked as an insurance assessor, inspecting damage to homes and organising the required work to rectify the identified issues.
Since 2016, Andrew has been performing pre-purchase building inspections, new construction building inspections, dilapidation inspections and asbestos inspections and sampling. Over four of those years, between 2016 & 2020, Andrew also spent time as the national trainer for a building inspection/consultancy company, training franchisees, specifically in pre-purchase and new construction inspections.
When Andrew isn’t at work, you can find him watching the footy (he’s a passionate Hawthorn supporter), exploring the outdoors, camping, or spending time with his family.
